Originally from Louisville, Kentucky, but has called Nashville his home for the past ten years working, learning, and raising his two sons here. He has a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from Trevecca Nazarene University, and a bachelor’s degree in fine arts from Indiana University. Ken also pursued studies in art history and Italian language at the University of Cincinnati and the University of Texas at Austin.

Ken’s approach to therapy is one of compassion, collaboration, and an integrative approach based in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. The process begins by figuring out what is fundamentally important to the client, what the underlying values they hold sacred are, and what needs to happen to fulfill those life values. Together, therapist and client begin to build a path forward through mindfulness and committed action. The client gains insight and the ability to navigate the challenges they are facing, depression, trauma, anxiety, relationships, work, grief, or addiction, to name a few.

Ken comes to the world of therapy after a long career as a carpenter and artist. His early training and interest in art eventually led him to the craft of cabinet making and building, something he still enjoys today. Ken is also a long time yoga practitioner and as well as an avid hiker and traveler.
